Volunteer Trail Project

  • Transition Habitat Conservancy PRWP Trailhead, 195th Street Pinon Hills, CA 92372 United States (map)

Come join us to care for the places we love.

Plan for a day of trail work on Transition Habitat Conservancy land at Portal Ridge Wildlife Preserve. Hike in to the project site (about 1.5 miles with a significant climb), work with a group, or help from the trailhead — all skill levels welcome. Families, friends, and first-time volunteers are encouraged to come.

What we’ll be doing:

  • Trail maintenance and brushing (no experience required)

  • Help organizing lunch and supporting returning crews (if you’d prefer a less physical role)

What to bring:

  • Sturdy shoes and clothes for trail work

  • Work gloves

  • Plenty of water and snacks

  • Sun protection

For more information, please email Vern Biehl:

Please sign up below so we have a head count. Your time helps protect and maintain our natural spaces for the whole community — thank you for volunteering. We look forward to seeing you on the trail!
