Volunteer Opportunity!

What: Help us spread top mulch, do some light weeding, trimming and raking.

Where: The Monarch Waystation gardens at Transition Habitat Conservancy’s office and the Roberta Dewey Discovery Center

No experience necessary, work s hard as you want, stay as late as you want. We just need some enthusiastic volunteers to add a little TLC to our Monarch Waystation and Pollinator gardens.

Bring your own gloves if you have some. Come prepared with a hat, sunscreen, and refillable drink bottle(s). Snacks and water will be available.

DIRECTIONS:

From Phelan/Hesperia, take Phelan road west to Hwy 138. Cross 138, (Phelan road turns into Green). Go up to DESERT VIEW 1+ miles and turn left on HILLVIEW. Go to the end of the road and turn right, then pull into the designated parking area where you will see horse corrals. We will shuttle people up to the Discovery Center from there, due to limited parking.

From I-15, exit on Hwy 138 west and go about 15 miles to Green road and turn left (south). Go up to DESERT VIEW 1+ miles and turn left on HILLVIEW. Go to the end of the road and turn right, then pull into the designated parking area where you will see horse corrals. We will shuttle people up to the Discovery Center from there, due to limited parking.

From Palmdale/Lancaster: Take Hwy 138 east past Littlerock, Pearblossom and Llano. Once in Pinon Hills, you will turn right on Green Road. Go up to DESERT VIEW 1+ miles and turn left on HILLVIEW. Go to the end of the road and turn right, then pull into the designated parking area where you will see horse corrals. We will shuttle people up to the Discovery Center from there, due to limited parking.

CAUTION: GPS routes ill take you into rough terrain Call 760-220-6141 if you need assistance with navigation.
